Modern Pub Dining at Its Honest Best

The Goose cooks the kind of food that earns a pub its reputation. The menu covers serious ground without losing focus: Gambas al a Hijo or Crispy Duck Salad to start, a Trinity Manor Farm burger or slow-cooked Reuben from the grill, and a Chateaubriand for two that anchors a grill section built around aged Irish cuts. Confit of Duck, Bangladeshi Chicken Curry and Chicken Schnitzel sit alongside a Fish and Seafood Mixed Grill for when the occasion calls for something a little more. Vegetarians and vegans are genuinely looked after with the Vegan Mezza and Grilled Artichoke Risotto among the highlights. Desserts are all homemade and worth saving room for. And the Little Goslings children's menu keeps young ones happy, with a Sunday roast for under 12s on Sundays too.

The Goose takes bookings and at weekends it's worth making one. The kitchen is open for lunch and dinner throughout the week, and the bar is always ready. Book your table online or give us a call on (01534) 888273. Walk-ins are always welcome when we have space.
